Video Editing

We've started on creating a new children's music video to a song written by Bonnie Waters.  Yesterday, we went to Burfoot Park and videoed and today the kids spent time editing.  By the end of next week, we hope to have some videos to show.

Remember, the photography contest is up tomorrow!  All students may enter!

What Can You Make a Video Of?

Tim Michaelis filmed and edited this video of the third graders' math class.   6th & 7th grade, what would you like to make a video of?  Post a comment of your brainstorm idea.

Also, send me the pictures you took from our nature walk the other day.  I would like to post the best ones to the blog.

Storyboarding

We watched these videos on storyboarding. The students are writing scripts on science topics, then they will storyboard out their videos.

We've been studying the creation.  The students were divided into two groups and made the following videos.  Check back tomorrow to see Davis and Clark's video and to vote on your favorite. Please post comments on how the students can improve in their video techniques.

Camera Class

3 point lighting is a fundamental technique in film making.  The 6th & 7th graders learned how to setup the lights to create the 3 point lighting.

Also, the students continued their work on a video of the 7 days of creation.  Be sure to check back next week to see the finished films.
