Video Editing

We've started on creating a new children's music video to a song written by Bonnie Waters.  Yesterday, we went to Burfoot Park and videoed and today the kids spent time editing.  By the end of next week, we hope to have some videos to show.

Remember, the photography contest is up tomorrow!  All students may enter!

Sound Design

Logo Contest

Olivia came to the class on Monday and was teaching graphic design by creating logos.  We are having a contest due this Wednesday for which of the girls can create a nice design for Kathy's Cupcakes.  The boys are designing a logo for Bob's Tackle Shop.


Here are some ideas.

Make sure to email your logos (in jpeg or pdf form) to Olivia by Wednesday at 5:00.

Tumwater Falls and All Around School

Computers and Writing

Some of the 6th & 7th graders had never seen the inside of a computer.  Today, we remedied that.  We took apart a laptop and tower.  The children had a very fun time.

We also began writing an essay about knights.  The students were divided into two groups and gave help to their team members. 

School is In!

We've started school with a bang!  All the students love the online curriculums that we are taking.  I think they are loving learning.  

Also, today we had a writing class with the high school.  We wrote simple Bible songs, copying from children's songs.  

Photoshop 101

On Monday, I gave the children their first Photoshop class.  They added artistic filters, added text, and saved the files to their thumb drives!  Good job!

Khan Academy

I would like to commend those who are working on Khan Academy during this spring break.  I see that some of you are excelling.  Good job!  Keep up on the good work.
